Do You Want To Be Made Well?

Do You Want To Be Made Well?

This might seem like a strange question to ask someone who is obviously hurting or struggling with sickness or personal issues, but it was what Jesus asked a man who was sick for 38 years.

When we’ve been in a bad situation for a long time, we get used to it and stop believing that things could ever be
different. We don’t consider that this might not be what God wants for us. If we want change, we must really yearn for it and be willing to believe that God will help us if we sincerely ask Him to.

On a personal level, you might be living in fear, without hope, struggling with loneliness or suffering with chronic Illness be it mental or physical.

In addition to our own personal issues we live in a “broken” society that is suffering and grappling with various issues for which there seems to be no real, lasting solution.

We see and hear of violence, drug abuse, hopelessness, fear & anxiety, broken families, poverty and many other problems.

On the face of it, this situation can be daunting, insurmountable and without any prospect for change but, we can be sure that this is not the case.

The fact that you have the opportunity to read this post Jesus is saying that He sees you, He loves you and He wants you to be made well. Just ask Him to help you and He will.

If any of this resonates with you and you want to learn more about Jesus and how He can make a real and lasting difference in your life, please contact us now at Gateway Community Church.
