From the very beginning of the church and early Bible days, women have played a critical role in the Kingdom of God. They’ve been caring, protective, industrious and attentive mothers; devoted and supportive wives; faithful, honourable daughters; prayerful and enabling sisters; fearless and insightful leaders as well as wise and discerning counsellors. We can identify the likes of Sarah, Rebekah, Ruth, Esther, Abigail, Deborah, Jael, Hannah, Mary, Dorcas and Lydia – to name a few.

The need for such women still exists today but with the pressures to conform to the ideals of modern society, it’s increasingly difficult for young women to openly embrace the values of a godly woman.

Gateway CC Women’s department aims to facilitate the development of the women of our assembly and those in their sphere of influence to become the kind of women we love and admire. They will oversee the development of women of Gateway and others from our wider community in their knowledge, understanding and transformation into strong women with godly character.
